Lecture "Where to Report Russian War Crimes Abroad"

On May 28, UISC hosted an important lecture dedicated to the mechanisms for reporting war crimes committed by Russian forces, especially from outside Ukraine.

During the event, participants learned where to turn for documenting, investigating, and publicizing such crimes. The lecture covered both Ukrainian initiatives (Media Initiative for Human Rights, ZMINA, The Reckoning Project, Truth Hounds, "Ukraine. 5 a.m.", Ukrainian Witness) and international organizations (Human Rights Watch, European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights, Trial International).

Particular attention was given to the opportunities for filing complaints in European countries such as Germany, France, Poland, the Netherlands, and others. It was emphasized that in many cases, applications can be submitted online or in person, even without a specific suspect identified.

We urge all witnesses and victims to speak up — every testimony matters.
