On May 13, 2026, the Ukrainian International Strategy Center held an online lecture dedicated to the growing influence of Russian disinformation campaigns targeting young audiences across Europe.
The lecture explored how social media platforms, AI-generated content, gaming ecosystems, and algorithmic amplification are being used to manipulate public opinion, deepen political polarization, and undermine trust in democratic institutions.
The lecture also addressed how AI technologies are increasingly weaponized to blur the line between fact and fiction and pollute the digital information environment with synthetic content.
The presentation was prepared using research and reports from the European Commission, EEAS, ENISA, EU DisinfoLab, ISD, the World Economic Forum, and other international analytical organizations.
