Ukrainian International Strategy Center (UISC) continues its series of open online lectures dedicated to examining Russia’s influence on global socio-political processes and documenting Russian war crimes.
When? 26 September 2025, 17:30 (Kyiv time)
Where? Zoom (upon prior registration)
Registration: https://docs.google.com/forms
Why is this important?
Germany is one of the key European countries subjected to systemic Russian influence. The Kremlin invests heavily in supporting far-right parties (such as AfD), establishing bot farms, conducting information campaigns, and running spy networks.
Bavaria, while less exposed than Eastern Germany, hosts powerful pro-Russian organisations and intelligence structures. At the same time, it has received one of the largest numbers of Ukrainian refugees (over 159,000 as of 2024), making the Ukrainian community a particularly vulnerable target for propaganda efforts.
Topics to be discussed
Key actors of Russian propaganda in Germany (Bavaria);
Main narratives and their consequences;
The Ukrainian diaspora as a target group;
Tools for identifying propaganda (practical exercise).
Speaker
Iryna Musii — journalist, human rights defender, and war crimes documenter with The Reckoning Project: Ukraine Testifies, researcher of Russian propaganda.
Organiser
Ukrainian International Strategy Center (UISC) — an analytical centre engaged in international research, information activities, and building networks in support of Ukraine.
The lecture is based on analytical research conducted within the Disinformation Booster Academy course, organised by Common Sense Communications in cooperation with Deutsche Gesellschaft e. V. and supported by the German Federal Foreign Office.
